This was a magical day. Not only the scenery made it so but the people were inspiring. It was human kindness at its best. There need to be more in the world like the two men we came across in our exploration of the cliffs and hikes. At Lands End you will find a little hub with a couple of attractions and souvenir shops, Cornish pasty and ice cream places and a restaurant with a breathtaking view. As you embark on a cliff-side hike along the cliffs you will come across Greeb farm which is a little farm with a variety of animals as well as a couple of stone craft ‘shops’… in very old little dwellings that I suppose were tiny houses. In one was a man named Doug who does pottery. He does some really neat work, unique for sure. He put Draven to work making little owl out of clay. he then gave him an entire clay creature making kit. We had great conversation and went on our way to the other shop where we met Edward Williams (Eddie) the silver jewelry maker. http://www.edwardwilliams.net. He was a personality to remember. He tells amazing stories and has a wonderful imagination. Draven was very taken with him and we spent well over an hour with him during which he made me a beautiful custom made silver ring and had Draven help him with using the blow torch when sizing it. What a great experience šŸ™‚ Thank you Eddie and Doug your kindness will be remembered and our memories of our time with you has made the experience that much richer.

The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Standing on top of rocky, rugged cliffs hundreds of feet up over the ocean’s waves splashing up against the rock; The echo of the seagulls calling out in and around the caves and cliff sides; the horizon seems to go forever as there is no other land in site… it is a truly spectacular place. I would really love to come back here… I feel this way about Dover and New Quay as well! LOL! It’s true that the ocean has a strong magnetic pull to me and I am ok with that as it is truly stunning. Off to see some more coastline before heading back north, and feeling so very blessed ā¤
